Our Family Office
was inspired by two questions:
WHY
is a traditional family office
called "A Family Office",
when it exceptionally optimizes the
business, legal and wealth of the family…

But ... falls way short of optimizing the “family”?
WHAT IF
to optimize BOTH the wealth AND health, of each family, across generations,
every family office and wealth advisor could offer their families
an expanded network of outstanding professionals,
collectively trained to support the health of "everything family"?

My Favorite Visionary Message:
I believe we are all here to do something special.
When you find that thing that you truly believe in,
and no matter how hard you try to give it to someone else, someone you think is smarter,
more experienced, more connected, and more capable to carry that torch...
and no one will take it.. no one sees it.. no one believes in it like you do...
THAT ... is "your thing" to share with our world!
Seize it, hold it dear, commit to it, and enjoy the ride.
My Most Challenging Vision for Change
LEAP4change and LEAP-edu
The Problem:
Our philanthropic, leadership and educational norms, while celebrating great successes, have also woefully missed their potential impact. Even worse, they will continue to do so until they replace the hand out model with a model based on empowering, diverse, local and global partnerships.
My Goal:
Prove that we could reduce racism, train entrepreneurs, educate global leaders, and triple the impact of all today's philanthropic programs.
The Model:
Shift from the hand out model, to one based on empowering, diverse local and global partnerships.
LEAP was my "if only".
If only every student grew up in a diverse partnership with next door and across the globe,
coached as an emotionally intelligent leader,
empowered to build a program of impact together, both here in the States and across the globe, given the opportunity to succeed and fail over and over again,
trained to measure their impact, and
use their story as their resume to open doors to their higher education or profession...
then ... our young adults would be better prepared to enter a global marketplace,
and make a positive impact on their families, their communities and our world.
The Bumps in the Road:
Heads of diversity and leadership in major institutions said it could not be done!
But I believe a vision is precious. It either goes with you to your grave,
or becomes yours' to prove .. or fail trying.
LEAP worked!
The Product:
In 7 years, this self funded, unknown, paradigm shift, inspired 1,040 LEAP Participants,
in 31 Local and Global Communities, to build 91 Partnerships, and engage well over 16,000 people. That is an incredible return on investment!

For decades, in each of these various capacities, I have been fortunate to consult for and connect with amazing people around the world.
Together, we envisioned, designed and built programs of impact, expanded professional networks, and optimized outcomes.
What I am most proud of
I find it fulfilling and exciting to innovate and partner "in the gaps",
where a growth mindset can have exponential impact.
People who work with me say that they discover the courage to stretch outside their comfort zone in order to inspire community, leadership, sustainable impact, hope and confidence.
My calm personality, contagious curiosity, positive energy and diverse experiences leave me uniquely qualified to develop deep and personalized connections.
Personally
On the amazing side
I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother of 4,
(3 recently married,)
new grand mother, volunteer, athlete,
water lover and
global adventurer,
who is so grateful for the depth of friendships and connections I have both discovered and been influenced by along the way.
Personally
On the not so amazing side
but equally impactful to the ways in which I can connect with others,
I am the daughter of divorced parents with all that comes with lots of "his, hers and ours",
My father died after 10 years with Alzheimers,
My husband died of brain cancer in 2007,
I have been a widow in the "single", divorced world from the age of 47,
solo parenting 4 kids through life's amazing journey,
...and we are all thriving.
Personally
On family, wealth, business and impact
I think our familial and natural ecosystems are fragile and too often unappreciated or overshadowed by the need to generate profit.
I believe both purpose and profits are attainable if we collaborate to protect our world with stronger communication, innovation, and more holistic, personal and professional wisdom.
Like it or not,
our legacy will accurately reflect our priorities.
I believe it is time we ask everyone to see and treat our world as an intricately, interwoven web of life.
As such, we have a prayer of building an intentional legacy worthy of our time on this earth.
Lessons Learned Along the Way
Question. Inspire. Empower. Create. Love.
Never under-estimate the significant impact that birth, marriage, divorce, illness and death can have on the wealth and health of the family, and their legacy, across generations.
Be inspired by the power of shared vision, creativity, "fresh eyes", courage and laughter.
If you ever have a the opportunity to bring a shared vision to fruition,
be humbled by those who join you;
And at best, expect a dynamic and awe inspiring roller coaster ride.
Whether with a colleague, friend, community member or relative,
working together to intentionally connect and successfully build a legacy worthy of your time together...is a rare gift and wonderful opportunity, never to be taken for granted.
